On the 20th of March, Hortimare is celebrating the opening of the new facilities in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands.
Phase II of MacroSystems Project will start shortly
MacroSystems is proposing a broad array of innovative solutions to cover the entire seaweed production process, from hatchery to harvesting, including specialized propagation and seeding technologies that would enable large scale seed production, novel and survivable cultivation systems for offshore performance, and remotely operated harvesting machines.
Project ZEEVIVO (Sea Fish Feed) successfully completed
Recently, the ZEEVIVO-project (Dutch acronym for Sea Fish Feed) has been successfully completed after 4 years. Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, NIOZ, Wageningen University & Research, Danvos and Hortimare examined if seaweed could offer a suitable and sustainable alternative for fish feed.
